Stewards for Sustainable Urban Forests in Santa Barbara County

Santa Barbara County ReLEAF

Cindy McCall

Santa Barbara County ReLEAF was founded in 1993 by a small group of 12 tree care professionals. In less than one year, membership grew to a cross-section of 300 "Volunteers" with one thing in common - a love of trees.

Santa Barbara County ReLEAF's primary focus is to provide care for young trees for our city and county agencies. Through early maintenance, our young trees will grow to be structurally sound and require little mantenance in the future. This is our goal: a sustainable urban forest that enhances our environment without negative economic impacts.

Santa Barbara County ReLEAF is a member of the California ReLEAF network. A Statewide campaign to expand, enhance and preserve urban and community forests in California. By connecting people and land to each other, our cities and communities will become more liveable, while improving our global environment.
