Borrowing Library Materials

Your library card is your key to borrowing books, cassettes, compact disks, etc. at Lompoc Public Library. Just present your card and library materials to the staff at the circulation desk. The staff member will enter the bar code on your library card and on your library material. Our automated circulation system will immediately register the loans. The staff member will then put a "date due" on the item. The privacy of your transaction with the library is protected by California Government Code Section 6267.

Library items may be renewed for another check-out period, if there are no holds on the items.

You are responsible for:

• Returning borrowed materials on time or paying a fine.
• Reimbursing the library for lost or damaged materials.

Parents or guardians are financially responsible for items checked out on cards of their children 17 years of age or younger.
