DIGS and Class Project Reports Wanted!
Show
us YOUR work ! We invite
teachers to post their own DIGS and to post reports on student projects – or
– prepared by students themselves on any topic related to your Camp Internet
studies. When your posting is ready, test it in the Teacher’s Web workshops
and then arrange a time to put it online in the public showcase areas by writing
to camp@campinternet.net. This activity is
open to our regular Campers through the end of June (and through end of July
for CSU stipend teachers so it can be used to help meet the CSU requirements
that are to be completed by July 31st ).
NEW
FOR SUMMER – a NEW Reading Program !!
For
those schools on year-round, we will be hosting our first annual SUMMER READING
PROGRAM at no cost to this
year’s Camp Internet teachers. Camp Internet has expanded to now offer year-round
online learning activities so all classrooms can participate anytime. More on
this fun learning program soon!
This
Month - What Can Students DO?
Each
year following-up on their studies of the amazing cultural and natural resources
Camp Internet offers, students yearn to know “WHAT CAN WE DO?” to be a part
of protecting and preserving the important resources they have been studying
online.
Our
final study sections will introduce your students to the men and women, agencies
and organizations who work to protect and preserve our natural and cultural
heritage. These agencies offer suggestions for what students can do NOW to help
protect our fragile environment, and where they can go to learn more about our
cultural history – or to become a part of it. And what kind of careers are there
in environmental and cultural preservation and protection ? We will find out
in the upcoming Digs and live Trial Guide Chats. Our Trail Guides are inspiring
role models for students – and are proof that higher education can open opportunities
for truly rewarding life work.
Enjoy
the Exciting PRESERVATION Learning Adventures this month -
Islands can learn about the formation of the Channel
Islands National Park and Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary – and meet
agency staff live online.

of the southwest. Send questions about
