News from the Director ![]() Timothy Tyndall - Director - Camp Internet Weekly News from the Director of Camp Internet.
One of the most valuable things about the design of Camp Internet is the way a Teacher or
Student is able to weave in and out of more than one curriculum area at a time. As you explore the Channel Islands, California Backcountry or Ancient Southwest classes be sure to discuss how you experience Science, History and Literature as a framework within all Camp Internet classes.
The No Child Left Behind Act has a lot of impact on teaching in the classroom. Camp Internet is
working with a focus on developing tools for individual classrooms which will help Teachers understand
and work within the requirements of the NCLB Act.
Be sure to email me if you have questions or information about your experiences since the NCLB Act. Send email to rain@rain.org
As we move into this Election year a focus on Civics (American Government) is important.

One for the best Middle School or High School Poetry & Art and one for the best Elementary School Poetry & Art. Poems & Art must be submitted on cd-rom and by email. Minimum of 5 pages Poetry plus Artwork. Spring Equinox is near and it is time to study both the garden and the Science of Equinox. Be sure to have students visit the Global Garden class at http://www.rain.org/global-garden Camp Internet's ESL web continues to grow. Tools and Lesson Plans are online now.
