Meet the GABRIELINOS
This
week we remain south in the Channel Islands to meet the Gabrielinos
who arrived on the scene much later than the Chumash, but
who were able to settle a very large area including the Los
Angeles and San Gabriel Valleys, as well as San Clemente and
Catalina Islands. The Gabrielinos are also known as the Tongva,
a pre-historic name being reintroduced by descendents.
HELD
OVER - This weeks DIG continues to introduce your students
to the Gabrielinos – and encourages hands-on follow-up activities.
