Errol Flynn

Famous as Robin Hood on the screen, and a man full of boast and swaggart in real life, Errol Flynn adventured on Catalina Island. Coming to Hollywood following a colorful life in the South Pacific, New Guinnea and Tasmania, Flynn made box office news as a dashing fighter and romancer on the screen. He ran repeatedly into problems with the law for the same behavior off screen.

On Catalina he enjoyed sailing his yachts into secluded coves, hunted in the interior for wild boar, and kept alive the mariner adventurer mystique of his youth through out the rest of his life during escapades on Catalina. Flynn died at the age of 50 - a film legend from his first hit " Captain Blood " in 1935 to his death in 1959.
