On Going Professional Teacher Development

Teacher Training, professional development, is one of the core parts of Camp Internet.

We are all learning to work with new technologies. Each growth in technology changes the way we do certain things. The Internet has greatly expanded the resources of the average classroom and opened up a world community to both students and teachers.

Camp Internet Teacher Training builds a skill set that allows you to use technology in your classroom in an effective, rewarding way.

Using the Internet as a regular part of our daily classroom activity requires that we have a good source of "content" on the Internet to draw on.

Camp Internet provides a range of "content", from reading to math and science on over to arts and history, that can add to almost any curriculum. Making use of the special search engine and taking time to explore the Camp Internet Expeditions and special projects such as the digital video, GIS and Garden projects, will allow you to have an idea of what is there to use.

Along with special live training sessions where experienced Camp Internet educators meet with you in both a lab and field trip setting, Camp Internet provides a year long, online Professional Teacher Development program that journeys with you through the Expeditions and special studies which take place within the Camp Internet Campus.

Welcome to the 2002/2003 School Year Program. Your Start Point is the "Teachers Web" located at http://www.rain.org/campinternet/keys
