WHEN: Camp's unique Internet Digs are organized by subject track and
are open each week, 6am-3pm (PST / 9am-6pm EST) for classrooms and 3:30-6pm for afterschool,
with Special Camp-wide Events as Announced. Digs can be extended into
evening hours for Family Nights and School Open House events by request.
WHAT : Digs are fun learning activities that turn online information-gathered into shared-knowledge as students are challenged to read, comprehend, digest, and then write knowledgably on thematic subjects. Students post their own written answers real time and must think, write, and post responsibly. All postings become available to the public for viewing in the Camp archive and students are accountable for the quality of their work.
NOTE: Be sure to include student's first name and teacher or school name in the YOUR HANDLE box before posting and with each post. To scroll back up and see previous postings, type a large number in SCROLL box and then click on CHAT. Every answer should be a full sentence with the question number - i.e. not "eight", but "1. There are eight Channel Islands".
