Southwest Briefing

October 22-26, 2001

Greetings Campers - get ready to start exploring the Anasazi and the Great Pueblos. Our next section will delve into these mysterious and accomplished peoples. This week the DIG is the Great Kiva Dig - one of our best DIGS of the year with multi-media activities. It will also be open for the online FAMILY NIGHT this Thurs, 5-9pm. Bring the generations together ! Keep an eye on this section as new images are being added each day:

HALLOWEEN STORY CONTEST - get you tales ready as word documents to post on the main Camp portal inorder to enter the contest !

GPS We encourage our BC classes to get out their GPS units and start recording any native plants on their school grounds. Record the name of the plant, its location (latitude, longitude and elevation), and if you have a digital camera, you can start taking pictures of the plants. Build up your archive of native plants identification for a project we will do together in the winter.

Teachers

Be sure to get your School / Class Outpost showcase prepared for public view using the simple steps in the Teacher's Chat Room. We will begin posting the reports that feature each class/school beginning Nov 1.
