Pottery

Mesa Verdeans used a white clay for their pottery and painted it with black to form geometric decorations as they are more sophisticated in their pottery making … what do you think the black on white pottery above and below was used for ? The cooking pots were made from a redder clay and the out side texture is called ‘corrugated’ and had been a style in production since the earlier Basketmakers.
