Ishi was a Native California Indian living in the backcountry right as the Gold Rush took over the California. We will be using the Camp Internet condensed digest of his life story, based on the historical recreation written by Theodora Kroeber, a well known writer who was married to the Anthropologist who befriended Ishi and gave him a home in his adult years.
