Here are some pictures that we created after we read about John Muir's wild ride.
Muir's description of the wild, in particular, is an excellent example of descriptive writing. He tells about the smells that the wind carries with it. How many of you can identify the type of tree, by its smell. He also says that he is able to smell the sea air in the wild. WOW! What a sense of smell he had.
