If we were closer to the sun, we would have to adapt to the heat. If we wear farther away, we would have to adapt to a cold world.

#4 Uranus tilts over so far on its axis that it rotates on its side. Uranus' atmosphere is made up of hydrogen, helium, and methane. The temperature in the upper atmosphere is very cold. The cold methane gas is what gives Uranus its blue-green color. Uranus is one of the smaller gas giants in our solar system, but it is still large enough to hold 64 planets the size of Earth.

Judith&Lluvia/Payne/State Street: . . . . Tue, Dec 11, 9:43AM PST (-0800 GMT)
#4 Jupiter is a large gas planet whose clouds change daily. This planet is made of mostly hydrogen and helium gases. Jupiter gives off two times more heat then it gets from the Sun. It shines very brightly in the sky for nine months of a year when it is closest to Earth. The largest swirling area of gas is called the Great Red Spot. Scientist believe that this is a large hurricane-like storm which has lasted for more than hundreds of years. Large bolts of lightning have also been seen in Jupiter’s atmosphere. Jupiter has sixteen known moons. One of Jupiter’s moon’s, Io, have active volcanoes on it. Areas on Io that are near the volcanoes are very, very hot.

Pa/Miramonte: . . . . Tue, Dec 11, 9:44AM PST (-0800 GMT)
#2 You better look, you might think that the stars and planets we see at night and the sun we see during the day have little influence on our life here on earth. The four seasons of the years, and time over a much longer perspective, our planet, Earth, is the third planet from the sun in our solar system.

Mr.bartlett class /Garrett: . . . . Tue, Dec 11, 9:44AM PST (-0800 GMT)

The most obvious impact of our position from the sun is that if we were any further away it would be too cold for the life we know on earth, and likewise, if we were any closer, it would be too hot to sustain life on earth as we know it.

The surface has many craters, which are made by meteorites and asteroids crashing into Venus. There are volcanoes. 5. The name of our galaxy is the Milky Way. Our galaxy looked like a white streak so ancient Greeks claimed that it was a "river of milk". The ancient Romans called it the "Via Galactica" or "road made of milk". 6.Scientist consider the beggining of time was a big explosion called the Big Bang. 5. The name of our galaxy is the Milky Way. We got it from a Greek myth that the white streak was a "river of milk".The Romans called it the Via Galactica. meaning " road made of milk". This is how our galaxy was called the Milky Way. 6. Scientists consider the beginning of time is when there was a big bang in our solar system that created 8 planets to were flung out to space all circling the sun. The influence part did not happen until the 1800 to the 1900 is the amazingly good period of astronomical discoveries. 8. Back when natives were in California saw the importance of the night sky because they were really into art and architecture as well as trees, animals, winds , and rains were a part of there life.they saw the night sky as being miraculous event in there every day life. 9. The native americans creatid an easier thing to help there astronomical way was they drew pictures of there ancesters andbelived that the stars were them. 10. The California Chumash had in thier society was responsible for understanding the stars based on cosmos on a demelisions that had storys on historical relations to the stars. The name of the group was the astrominal priests. 11.

The romans called it the Via Galactica, meaning the " road made of milk". this is how our galaxy got its name. 6. Scientist believe the beging of Universal times was when there was a big explosion called the big bang. From this explosion our sun was formed and the eight planets were also formed. 8. The Natives Americans saw importance in the sky and the stars because they thought all gods lived there and also people who did good deeds went there. 9. They made cave drawings of the positions of the stars. 10. The people responsible for keeping track of the stars were the astronomer priests.
