The Expedition’s Weather
The weather in Yosemite was very cold in the morning. May that is just because we were getting out of a nice warm bed. Then, it was really hot in the afternoon. Then, it started cooling down at night.
Plants I discovered
I saw a lot of trees and plants in Yosemite. I saw a Jeffery pine, Incense cedar, Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir, Black Oak, Pacific Dogwood, Sequoias, and Mahogany. The Mahogany was a really pretty shade of reddish brown.
Animals I saw
I spotted many animals as I was hiking through Yosemite. I saw squirrels, Blue Jays, Stellar Jays, Woodpecker, ants, mosquitoes, Mule Deer, White tail deer, crows, Hawk, blue bellied lizard, dogs, butterflies, horses, bulls, ducks, spiders, and fish. We saw very many animals. I even got to touch a squirrel.
The most amazing thing I saw
The most amazing thing I would have to say I was would be the waterfalls and Half Dome. The waterfalls fell so beautifully and gracefully. They looked as if they were being pumped at the very top from a pipe that had a lot of pressure. Half Dome was amazing. It looked so much different than I imagined because it didn’t look as if it were connected to any part of the granite.
My favorite experience on the Expedition
My favorite experience on the expedition would have to be when our cabin hiked up to Yosemite Falls. We laughed, talked, played games and spent time with one another. Then we realized that when it is time to go that we wouldn’t always be together forever. That is probably the only time we will have real one on one time with each other. I really got to see things in my friends that I never got to see before at school.

Expedition Weather:
The weather in Yosemite the weather was warm. But when we went to sleep it was freezing. We had to wake up early to take a shower it was freezing cold outside. But later on the day it got hot.
Plants we discovered:
I saw many plants and trees like the Jeffery Pine, Ponderosa, Inscentcedar, Douglas Fir, Black Oak, Mahogany, Dogwood, Sequoia, Manzanita, and live black Oak. If I see one of those trees I would be able to name it because all trees are different. Because the Jeffery tree looks like puzzle pieces.
Animals you saw:
We saw squirrels, Mule deer, white tailed deer, blue jay, stealer jay, blue belly lizard, raccoon, and mosquitoes. Most of the kids got more than 50 bites all over there body. We also heard bears at night but we didn’t dare go outside.
The most amazing thing I saw:
The most amazing thing I saw was Yosemite Falls that was so cool because we got to go up close. It was fun because we felt the mist hitting us. At first it was scary because we were so close, but then it was cool.
My favorite experience in the expedition was:
I really liked going to the museums and looking at the old stuff. The one I liked the most was the Indian museum because we saw what the Miwok use to put their babies in. Something else that was cool was the cemetery but it would be better if it was at night when we went so it could be scary.
