Hi. This is Tara and Amber.We are 9 years old. #1 Coyote is the main character in the story. He pertends to be dead and birds came into his body. Then he had falcon take out the birds and then take off the feathers. Next he laid the feathers on the ground, then people came alive. He notices that they all look liked the aminals. Then people couldn't tell who were the first people on the earth. There was only animals on the earth.

The child would be instill to these things, to sleep on the skins of a bever or a coyote to be wise and grow strong, to feed the fish meat so he will be a good swimmer,eat flash of a deer so he can be light and swift on foot,eat eggs of a crane so that he can be keen at sight. Also to be like a grizzly bear, being fearless and strong in comeback.

The story of Cheif Tenaya is the real story written by a student and based on historical fact. He was heartbroken when his son was killed, and so alienated from the white settlers that it was impossible for him to live on the reservation. He bravely headed out into the backcountry again where he felt free and at home .....
