The Yosemite Trip One day on a Wensday we went to school at six o’clock. We had a bus driver named Marvin. We watched a lot of moves. Then we got there at four o – clock . We went to are cabins and packed are stuff. Then we went on a hike to the lower falls. Then we went to bed. Then in the morning we went to eat breakfast and hiked a lot with are trail guide. Then we went to dinner and there was a guy who drank milk cartons of milk. Then we went to bed again. Then early in the morning we went home. And watched a bunch of movies on the way home. Then we got home and had fun and went to sleep. The End.

My Yosemite We went the bus at six o’clock we watched a whole bunch of movies are bus driver’s name was Marvin he is good bus driver. When we arrived it were 4 o’clock. On the same day we saw lower Yosemite falls it is huge we then we went to the buffet and went to bed. The next day we went on the hike where we learned different kinds of trees like the dogwood, and the Douglas fur, ponderosa pine, live oak, black oak we also heard the story of glacier point and geologist tag. Then we had lunch at Mirror Lake it is freezing cold that your toes go numb like your toes got chopped off I liked it when we went to the nature center and saw the remains of the big rockslide that got smashed into little pieces of granite trip.. Then we went to the buffet and saw this chugged down twenty-five milk cartons.

When I went to Yosemite with my class, I got to go on a hike with Brett, our tour guide. It was a totally different experience to me. The hike was about 5 miles long, but 2 hours into the hike we got to go to Muir Lake. After we ate lunch Brett took us into cave where the Indian’s used to hide from the scouts because they wanted to have their land. When we were going back to our cabins, we had to cross a stream. We had no boat butt there was logs. Brett went first so incase it was slippery we wouldn’t cross. We did get to cross the logs. Soon it was turn to cross. I was so scared because where I live we don’t cross logs very much. It was sooooo cool!! When we got back to our cabins, we all put on our swimming suits. Now this was the second day we were in Yosemite. Well the first night we were in our cabins I was trying to go to sleep we all of the sudden I heard a loud high screaming voice. I all most ran out side and told the person to shut-up, but I soon fell asleep. One of the nights we ate dinner two boys drank twenty-five cartons of chocolate milk. I’m guessing the boys through up. When we got on the bus to go to Yosemite the bus looked cool. When we started to go an hour later it wasn’t that fun. When we got to Yosemite we had to unload the stuff and put them in our cabins. And when we saw the cabins we though they were cool but when we got inside the floor was uneven. Then we went on a hike to the lower falls and then when we got done we went to dinner and then came back. We went outside and played with the flashlights and went to bed. The next morning we had breakfast and then our group leader took us to get hot chocolate and came back and went on another hike. The hike was fun we learned how to tell trees apart from each other and we ate lunch at Muir Lake. It was and we got to put our feet in the water it felt good. When we got back we went swimming and we saw deer’s when we were going to the swimming pool. When we were done we came back and had dinner and we played with the flashlights and went to bed the next morning we went home. By Amanda

My experience in Yosemite was very good and a little bad. Our cabin was a little noisy the first night but the second night was better. Our hike was pretty cool. Our groups guide name was Brett. We learned about different kinds of trees and about lichen. We heard a lot of different funny stories. We had lunch next to the lake. We also got into the water. It was very cold and my legs were getting numb, but then I got used to it. Some of the minerals that we learned on our hike were feldspar, mica, horn blend, and quartz. Both nights we all went to the buffet. Before dinner the second night we went swimming at the village pool. It was fun. Then some of the girls went into the showers and turned the shower all the way up on hot. It felt so good. The bus ride there and back was fun. We watched movies that were funny. It took nine hours to get there and nine hours to get back. We had to be at the school at 6:00 in the morning and got home at 8:00 at night. It was fun in the play place that some people went to. It was in McDonalds. When we got out we were all sweaty. We were allowed to walk around on the bus but not that much. It was a very fun trip. The days just seemed to fly by. It was fun when we got back from there also. That is my experience in Yosemite.

When we got to Yosemite we went on a hike to the upper falls the falls are very pretty. After we went to the Indian village and got to see all of the old Indian people that were made to be in the village. Then after we went on the hike we hiked down to our village that was called curry village and we went to go have our dinner after our dinner we went to the cabins our cabin number is 608 and I like that number because it is like a even number. At night our class played that I made up it was called 4th grade mission. It was at night and it was dark. Once it got very dark we had to go in our cabins and turn of the lights and go to bed. But our cabin was one of the ones that stayed up later than we were able to. But the next morning Amanda, my mom, and me were the first ones were asleep. Yosemite Yosemite is the best national park in all California. I like the Mariposa Grove. I had the best cabin. These are the people in my cabin Mathew, Michel, two other adults, and me. The best thing in Yosemite was on the five-hour hike. We stopped at Mirror Lake and ate lunch and we got to get wet. Mathew was being dumb and he left a box of cookies under his bed but luckily we did not get attacked. Camp Internet rocks!

Yosemite I like going to Yosemite. The hike was the best part for me because I played on the rocks. The people in my cabin were Mat, Tom, and Michel.. I also liked going to the pool. When I got to my school at 6:00 everybody was loading their things up under the bus. I put my things under the bus and climbed on. We were on the bus for about three hours. Then we stopped for lunch in Bakersfield. We rode for six more hours we were finaly there. Everybody unloaded their things and took them to their cabins. Everybody got comfterbal with their cabin. After that we all went to the buffet for dinner. The next morning we all ate by the bear lockers. Then we went on a hike. We had to hike up a long time. Then we went down a little bit. Finaly we stopped at Mirror Lake to eat our sack lunches. Then we hiked some more but it was pretty much flat when we got back we all changed into our swimming suits and went to the Yosemite lodge pool it was as big as an Olympic pool. When we came back we all got dressed and went to dinner at the buffet. When we where at dinner there was a kid that was drinking as many chocolate milks as he could. Then the next morning everybody but me my mom and her boy friend put their things under the bus because we drove home a different way We stopped at many places on the way out of Yosemite. Yosemite At Yosemite we hiked 7 miles and then we went swimming. We hike threw rocks. It was like the ultimate playground. At the swimming we all were doing front flips. Marcus and Brian were laughing all night. Lonnie and me were climbing on the cabin. We all could have been in cubell because Mr. Bartlett was right next to us. It was fun at Yosemite falls. There was a lot of mist because the falls are almost 2 miles high. We climbed to more then haft way to the Yosemite falls. We eat dinner at a buffa. They had fish, salad, and chicken. For disserts there was putting and pie. In the cabin Lonnie and I were talking silently. A person jerank 2 trays of milk. Our bus drivers’ name was Marvin. He was fun. He let us use the speaker to say stuff. On the way back the girls sang all the back.

In this class this year I learned about special rocks on camp Internet like metamorphic and others. I learned that John Muir went across a rock inch by inch like a Glacier, and he hung on to the top of a tree so that some people won’t cut it down. I also drew John Muir on the top of tree, which got on your site. I finished the Back Country Passport and learned a whole, whole lot about the Gold Rush, the History, and a lot more. I learned that some people wore paper stuff on one of the chats. We read the book Pasquala and drew a picture of it, which we put on the site. My favorite thing that we did was when we got to talk to you guys and girls. I learned a lot from Camp Internet and it was fun.

I liked going to the Yosemite. The Yosemite falls were cool and we got to go close to them. Lonnie, Robert, Brian, and Marigoose. Then we went to eat at the buffet. Then we went back to our Yosemite cabins. Lonnie and Robert were tried to go to sleep but Brian and Marigoose were talking the whole night. The next day we went on a long hike we learned a lot about felsbar, mica, hornblende, and magma. I had fun on the hike. When we got back we went swimming and strait to diner. After that we went to bed. In the morning we went home.

The Yosemite Trip The Yosemite trip was a good trip. I liked our bus driver Marvin. He was cool. I liked the hike too. It was cool to see the caves and animals. I didn’t like it when the guy barfed. THE CAMP INTERNET STORY In Camp Internet I learned a lot about Indians and a lot about Backcountry things. It was sort of cool to learn about the things. I finished my passport and now I don’t have to do any more Camp Internet projects. I will tell you some of the things I did in Camp Internet, I learned about Indian things like, how they made their hut’s and some long houses. I learned what food they ate, like a corns and deer meat. I learned about plants and minerals. That was the best part! I also learned about animals and how they got their prey and things like that, but some other things about animals, like that Indians thought they could speak to animals. Also they thought they could understand animals. I think there is one more thing I learned about and it is Sequoias. It was fun learning about them too. I really liked learning these things, it was very fun! THE END

Yosimite Hike My cabin was excited when we entered it but at night the cabin behind me was very noisy it was awful! I was the last one to go to bed I always got up at night to get a drink of water and I was always out of bed to get a drink of water. We played a game and had to mesmerize the trees it was a little fun except the tag game we played at night. It was hard to catch me but it was easy to find me. It was really guarded Travis was the one that always hidden his dark cloths and dark shoes and I jumped over him I never was caught I was the champion because no one caught me. I went to the showers and there was a guy but naked and he was walking around and he didn’t care. If that was me I would be very enbarest to the bone I would be shivering really hard I would be dead. The bus ride to Yosemite was very loud. Most of the people were singing. Our bus drive was very nice. His name was Marvin. He would let us eat. In Yosemite I talked to Genelle all night, Well that’s what they say. In the middle of the night I had to go to the rest room and so did Genelle. But are cabin leader wouldn’t wake up to go to the bathroom. In Yosemite we played tree tag. It also was fun. I liked being in Brett’s group. It was Brett’s birthday on Thursday. I didn’t ask to many questions. I got to see many things like giant sequoias and lots of other stuff. Yosemite is a fun place to visit. I wish I could visit Yosemite everyday. I was scared that a bear was going to eat me. In the morning I heard a guy coughing I thought it was a bear. At dinner there was a kid who drank 25 cartons of chocolate milk. I learned a lot about Camp Internet. I learned about the Indians and their tribes. The Indians lived in the Backcountry, and made clothes and hats out of animal skin. They made games out of signs from their hands. I also learned about plants and animals and how they live in the wild. A lot of the animals lived in the Backcountry, and some live in the dessert. The animals have amazing ways of living in the wild. I learned about amazing plants also. Some of the plants grew in the weirdest of places. I learned the Red Wood Trees are the tallest trees in the world. The Red Woods are taller than 200 feet. Camp Internet is a great place to learn about rare animals that live in the Backcountry. Theirs bobcats in the mountains, bobcats are like a cat but bigger and has a curly tail. Theirs bears in Yosemite are big and scary. I how you liked the stuff.

My Yosemite trip On my yosemite trip I had a lot of fun at the nature center, and we picked an animal that no one would find at all. The thing that is about my animal is that it turns white in the whinter and it’s normal colors in the summer. On the hike I got to eat these healthy things called likin it is good for surving in the wild if you are lost. The I swam in the pool. The pool was very very big and it was nine feet deep and it was nice and warm and cozy. It was very fun. We got to play games, see who could swim the fastiest. I think the pool is fantastick. It is a very cool pool. When got to our cabins we changed in to our other clothes for dinner at the resturaut. After the dinner we got ice cream. I think yosemite is geart.

YOSEMITE On our trip to Yosemite we had to get up at 5:00 to be at the bus was leaving at 6:00-6:15. On the bus we had to do something to keep us entertained because it was an 8:00 hour drive. We also stopped for lunch so that was a half an hour longer. When we got there we put our bags in our cabins and meet up again. Then went on a hike to lower falls. I was in a cabin with Shelby and her mom, Ali, and Laney. On our big hike with our tour guide Julie. She is really nice. My friend Amber always helped me when I fell. That what a best friend dose. For lunch we all walked to Muir Lake. It was fun. Also our tour guide Julie is getting married to another tour guide named Brett.

We were there for about 30 minutes then we were back on the road we passed fams we passed trucks because Marvin drove fast .We were there finally. We hit 3000 bugs on the way in it took one hour we got unpacked we went for a hike then we went to eat dinner then played 4th grade mission were we spy on the other team then went to sleep we got up for breakfast then went for a hike around the park we got home and played in the pool. I was to tired to swim then we went home and played 4th grade mission and then dinner was served we eat then we were to tired to play so we spyed on these people that were in love we shind all of are lights on them then ran to all the cabins then we got ready to pack for tomorrow we will leave .

Frankie Palafox.....Fri,June 22,2001 Dyer On our fieldtrip to oceanography lab. I discovered that if you get a special peice of seaweed and shake it, and blow on it will turn into a crab. The animals I saw were squids,crabs, lobsters,and seastars. I especially liked the squid because you can use it as a watergun.The weather was kind of sunny.The plants I discovered had yellow flowers and small leaves.

Field Trip to Oceanography Lab It was kind of Sunny and Cloudy.When we got there it was kind of sunny.But when we were in the boat it was a little bit of windy.Some of the plants were purple, thay had a lot of bumps. Some were green, they looked like seaweed but it wasn't seaweed.I saw some birds,crabs,fish and some starfishes.My favorite experience was when we got to touch some of the sea animals.The boat was kind of big. Then when we went to the museum they talked to us about boats.I learned that the fishes couls hold their breath as long as peopke could.

Luis:..Fri,Jun 22,Dyer st.Elementry This trip was asome,first it turned out to be cold and cloudy then the sun came out,but it was still cloudy.On the way I saw plants like ever greens and other plants purple, blue, white, and pink. I also saw seaweed.Then we saw some animals like Pelicans, and seagulls, starfish,and squid.I learned that starfish take out there stomach to eat.

My field trip was in Oxnar Beach.In my Expedition the weather was not cold or hot it was fine. I discovered lots of plants like kelp and seaweed.I also saw lots of other more animals like crabs,fishes and seastars.One amazing thing we learned is how to check the temperature of the water. My favorite part of the Expedition field trip is how we touched so many different animals of the sea. So that was all.

Our field trip to Ocean Agraphy The weather was sunny and kind of breezy.We saw seaweed and kelpt.The animals we saw were some crabs,starfish,acrame,common loon,Peligan Great,blue herony,california gull,ribbon worm,clam mayor and a clam.The most exciting part was that if you hold something like seaweed and if you blow it will turn into a crab.My favarite part was when we were in the boat and we got to touch the animals like fishes,squids,but i dindnt like when the squids threw ink we also touch starfish,crabs,lobstors to. THE CHANNEL ISLAND The channel island harbor is found in Oxnard, there we saw ana kapa island.Thewheater there was sunny, foggy, the winds were calm, and the ar was clean.I discovered some plant i've heard of, but not seen like kelp, seaweed, and ivy.I saw some animals that were really cool like a squid and it's eggs,a starfish,crabs,and a herron! Myra Fuentes...Tues June 12,6:30AM Dyer Elementry School The Channal Island When I went to the field trip the expidition's weather was sunny,hot,windy,and clear.The plants I discoverd were some trees,bushes,and kelp.I saw a lot of animals,but the animals I saw were crabs,starfishes,birds,segals,lobters, sqids,a herron,and some pilicans in the water.The most amazing thing I learned was that sqid eggs look like worms,and when they are born the squid mom dies.Also the squid babys are born stuck together.

THERE WAS CRABS,FISH,SEASTARS,PELICAN,LOBSTERS,TURTLES, SEAGULLS,RAYS,PLANKTON,[THROUGH A MICROSCOPE],SQUID EGGS, SQUIDS,HERMIT CRABS.WE LEARNED HOW TO TELL A MALE FROM A FEMALE CRAB.WHEN WE GOT ON THE BOAT WE DID ACTIVITIES. We went to the Oxnard oceanography lab.It was a lot of fun!First we walked to the courtyard,then we walked to some place tnat looked like a bathroom[actually I'm pretty sure it is].Well,We sat there and they I mean Tim Explained to us the dangers of the boat.Later,we walked down a black passage,then we walked from the dock to the boat.When we got on the boat We were introduced to the passengers.There was,Tim,Randy,and "Mud Stud" They're all funny.We set out a net...and when we pulled the net to our surprise We had caught lots of types of..FISH!WEll We got off the boat and walked to the bus for our lunch we ate at the court yard.Then we went home.

Today my classmates and I went to Oxnart for our class field trip.First our teacher, Mrs. Martinez, bought us some doughnuts to eat while we waited for the boat.Then our instructor,Tim,told us rules and things we were going to do.A few minutes later we got on board. When we got on the boat we talked about safety.A few minutes later we sailed off.Then we talked about plants and animal facts.After that Tim showed us crabs,fish and seastars and their adaptation. Then some of my classmates threw a net on the sea.To see what we catched we had to pull it.We got tons of little fish.Then we touched fish and crabs.Then after all that fun we ate our lunches. A few minutes later we went to the Ventura County Museum.Then we went home.

Dyer st. Magally June 12,2001 Today I was so excited,Mrs. Martinez's class and I were going on a field trip to Oxnarn Oceanagraphy Lab. When we got there Mrs.Martinez was looking for a coffe shop,she even said "I can't live without coffe". All the kids started to laugh. We wanted doughnuts,we thought she wasn't going to buy anything for us, but she really did. She came out witha big box of doughnuts and a gallon of milk for us. A wile past. Then we got on a boat. There,we had to catch some fish and everything we could. Tim, the naturalist, chose Veronica,Josselyn,and Hector to throw out the net. Then we had to pull the net back in the boat. While pulling the net back in, Randy, the Captain,put some music on. It said"HI HO, HI HO, PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME" W hen we were done,pulling the net back in,a man took all the seaweed out,afterthat, Tim let us touch all the animals we caught. Then he divided us into smaller groups, we had to visit all 4 stations on the boat. One was about mud,you had to taste it,explore it, touch it, and smell it. Anotherone was about the color of the water, wind speed, temperature, and direction. The other one was about the animals we caught. Randy, got a Squid Fish and started squirting at everybody. the last one, you had to catch some water, then, with a microscope, explore it.Then we went to lunch.
