Here is the view from Wrigley out across the entrance to the bay at Two Harbors and down along the smaller end of the island ..... we took this on our first trip out to Catalina to Wrigley .... the view from the ridge behind the Wrigley Institute sees this and then the other direction up towards Avalon .... great place to learn and play !

I went to Catalina with Camp Internet two years ago - we saw an island fox, birds, and the eels down in the cove. Our friends saw flying fish from the boat on the way home but we didn't. HAve you seen any birds ? seals ? dolphins?

Can nayone tell us what an ' endemic' plant is ? Have you seen any on Catalina ? Is it different than a native plant ? And what is the name of the introduced plant that is causing lots of problems on the island ?

What do you think desert weather and weather on Catalina might have in common ? I was in Palm Springs last weekend when there was a big thunderstorm with lots of wind - where did that storm come from ?
