FOLLOW UP – Make a Gabrielino canoe, hut, village or sand painting. A sand painting can be made using different colors of soil and sand at any scale – on a piece of paper with glue to hold it in place – or like the Gabrielino – out on a flat piece of earth on a large scale like a mural. Canoes can be made from clay, paper, or pieces of wood. And huts or a village scene can be made from twigs, dried grasses, even paper or cardboard. Show us your work by sending in a digital picture of your projects!
