- Meeting Agenda -

1) Solidification of the Oak View CTAC
· Council set for quarterly meetings
· Jane Middleton set as Oak View CTAC coordinator
· Use of the Oak View Listserv for CTAC communication

2) DLT Project Updates
· Telemedicine Info System coming - web based system will be used in conjunction with the incoming telemedicine station for viewing health broadcasts/media, searching the web for health information, and facilitating telemedicine consultations
· Oak View community events calendar being put in place, responsible community member needed to oversee community calendar
· "Virtual Town Forum" will be scheduled soon, and County Supervisor for Oak View Susan Lacey will be invited to participate
· Computer training stipend now available for Oak View community, local teacher and location still needed

3) DLT Community Network Sustainability
· Current DLT grant stipend funding timeline
· Continuation of the Oak View Community web and DLT activities after grant funding
· Membership outreach for new RAIN users supports continued CTAC coordinator and computer training funding. 150 or more users from Oak View and surrounding communities will make an Oak View community network sustainable beyond DLT funding

4) Open discussion on community issues and the DLT project

- Issues Discussed -

1) School will need funding for newer computers after moving to new site - current computers are 486DX and run internet and applications slowly.

2) Oak View Library is possible DLT computer training site, but currently only has two computers and little space, which is not enough to meet community needs. Library is looking into rearranging its computer area and/or moving to a new location to accommodate more resources.

3) Computer is available for the Oak View Civic Council, but a responsible party and appropriate location is needed first. DLT representative Jane Middleton is working with the Civic Council to get this computer in place.

4) Police Athletic League just received a large amount of funding. Located at the Oak View Community Center, PAL works with 200 + kids in Oak View, and might be an ideal outreach point for the Oak View Youth Technology Corp. The Oak View Little League facility is also very busy and might also be a good YTC outreach point.

5) Meeting attendee Skyler Chapin will assist in Youth Technology Corp outreach, and has agreed to maintain an Oak View community calendar.

Meeting adjourned.
