- Issues discussed -

1) Telemedicine resources for the community: Information on asthma, lice, nutrition and common illnesses needed - gathering of content through Dr. Landon and other DLT clinic partners towards the formation of asthma/illness telemedicine content, search for lice information. A listing of clinics that accept medical would also be useful.

2) Computer training needed for the community: Jane Middleton is swamped with people that want to be trained to use computers and the internet - she doesn’t have enough computers/time to train them all. There is a waiting list 90+ people long.

3) After-school programs needed: Kids are out with no direction after school and parents aren’t around after school. If computers and computer training are going to be available, then making them available after school would help solve this problem.

4) People to invite to join the Oak View CTAC:
a. Elks Club
b. PAL (Police Athletic League)
c. Help of Ojai

5) How to best recruit members for a Youth Technology Corp: Outreach to Nordhoff High School - Mike Capritto is the technology teacher there and would be interested in the idea of a Youth Technology Corp

6) Website resource gathering: Community event information given by council member Jane Middleton - Council will gather further resources for next meeting.

7) Oak View Clinic requires technical assistance: Training and software needed to view telemedicine videos and planned telemedicine webcasts. Clinic also has medical content to add to the DLT on-line medical resources.

Meeting closure: Use of the Oak View Listserv for council communication - next council meeting date will be set through the listserv
