Infant Safety Tips
Five(5) to Six(6) Months oldKeep emergency numbers handy: know 911 and the poison control center number.
Never leave your baby alone with pets or small children. Never leave your baby alone in the car.
Put your baby in an infant car seat, facing the rear of the car, for every ride.
Burns: Turn water heater to less than 120F (warm):
Test bath water
Do not drink hot liquids near baby
Test formula temperature on your wrist
Do not warm bottle in microwave
Place smoke detectors in the hallways near bedrooms.
Falls: Do not leave your baby alone on the bed, sofa or table.
Choking: Keep small objects and balloons away from your baby. Keep pillows out of your baby's bed. Remove plastic wrap from mattress
Hearing Loss: Keep your baby away from loud noises like vacuuming and loud music.
Poisonings: Label and lock up medicines and poisons
