Data Classroom
What kinds of information go into GIS maps? Your study in the Data Classroom will
explore something
called "data formats". Very important if you save information about almost anything that you
may want to share in the future.
Data Formats determin how you save information you gather. Whether it is information about
your school garden, about an environmental issue or about history, data which you gather
for a GIS map has to be stored on a computer in a way other computers can use and especially
in a way that the software which makes GIS maps can read.
