GreenNet FundingGreenNet is funded through a grant from the US Department of Agriculture's CYFAR (Children Youth and Families at Risk) Initiative. The California CYFAR State Strengthening Project - Strengthening the Futures of California Families - aims to build collaborative programs that encourage and promote positive developmental outcomes for youth and their families, through a focus on family dynamics and child-parent interactions. The California CYFAR State Strengthening Project has three community programs in different areas of the state, and each distinctive program reflects the needs of the local communities of which they are a part. Educational program focus ranges from computer, horticultural and entrepreneurial training in Santa Barbara, to afterschool family enrichment activities in Orland, to early awareness and preparation for college among elementary school students and their families in San Francisco. The CYFAR Project is being coordinated statewide by the 4-H Center for Youth Development, Department of Human and Community Development, at UC Davis. National CYFAR Initiative |
