What is the PGI Project?
The Peaceful Gaming Ideas Project is the result of two years work by members of our
Youth Technology Corps. Gathering ideas and experiences from other kids and adults
from around the world the PGI web brings to the Internet a clearinghouse for Gaming
that looks at 3 very important components of any game:
Violence or Non-Violence - how does the game rate
Social Value - from a constructivists point of view, does the Game provide anything of value in the large
social and family context?
Ethics and Moral Framework - does the game operate within an acceptable ethical and moral
framework? Or does it involve teaching young peope and adults techniques for doing things which
normally would be illegal or immoral.
