120 nautical miles

9 hours

300 common dolphins

3000 common dolphins

The swells were not so big, but at 7 seconds, it made for a rough ride and
it was quite windy so there were wind waves as well. So rough in fact, that
Capt Lee altered our float plan and took us early on into Painted Cave where
we lingered for a while to give everyone aboard a respite.

We saw the first small pod of dolphins early in our voyage and the large pod
on the way home, but alas no large whales. We did have a nice time going
ashore at Prisoners which was an unexpected treat. Lots of jellies, rays,
and some sharks. Carol Shoemaker was the other naturalist on the trip.
