[CINC] report of blue whales just off Palos Verdes

Hello all,
My sister told me she saw blue whale spouts about a mile off PV.  She said there were over ten and that they were heading west.  I ask if she had confirmation from someone with more experience.  She said there was a man there with a telescope who was knew much about whales and he said they were blues.
Have any of you gotten info on blues off PV?
