NOAA’s Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary is seeking applicants
for eleven seats on its advisory council, which ensures public

sanctuary superintendent.
The sanctuary is accepting applications for Commercial

should expect to serve two-year terms.
“Advisory Council members play a vital role in the sanctuary, acting as
conduits to community stakeholders and helping inform management
decisions,” said Chris Mobley, sanctuary superintendent. “Each member
brings a unique perspective to the council based on his or her long
experience in the area.”
The advisory council consists of 42 voting representatives representing
a variety of public interest groups and county, state, and federal
agencies.
Applications are due January 24, 2011. For further
information please contact council coordinator Michael Murray by e-mail
