5 Gray whales

Small pod of common dolphins

P.M.

100+ common dolphins

Small pod of Risso's dolphins

It was as the subject line says, and Gray and Green Day. We were treated in
the morning to several gray whales (thanks to Captain Lee for the guidance),
3 of which simply went along the surface giving us a nice view and paying us
no mind. The green.well it was lumpier than usual out there. Captain Dave
did splendid work keeping us a comfortable as possible, but Laurie and Steve
were busy helping passengers clean up and get to the rail. No need to say
more. The afternoon trip saw no whales and perhaps even greater discomfort
amongst the passengers but we were treated to the Risso's, more common
dolphins, and a splendid sunset as we came back to Ventura.

Happy holidays.and happy new year to all.

Dean
