I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!  This is a reminder that 
our *offices are closed* on Monday, *July 5*, for the Federal holiday.   
Also, *I will be out of the office* the next two weeks from *July 5-16,* 
but will be checking my email the week of the 12th.

/Ventura County Fair/ starts on August 4, and we have the usual shifts 
available through the 15th.  I will sign you up based on a first-come, 
first-serve basis when I return.  We are making some exciting changes to 
our exhibit based on the theme /Western Nights and Carnival Lights/.  
Note that August 10 is seniors and disabled citizens day, and August 6 
is youth day.

If you are out and about, be sure to stop by our booth on *July 17*, 
Saturday, at the *Ventura County In-Water Boat Show & Green Expo* in 
Channel Islands Harbor http://www.ci-boatshow.com/.  We will be sharing 
the usual information about our wonderful sanctuary and park, as well as 
information on NOAA's Marine Debris Program 
http://marinedebris.noaa.gov/.  (Yes, all of the shifts are filled for 
this event, so thank you!)
