~ 100 common dolphins
1 minke (spotted by Capt. Dave before it disappeared)

A quiet day on the water. Only 20 passengers, hailing from New Jersey, Florida, Switzerland, and West Hollywood, among other locales. They were enthusiastic and curious, and quite happy with the groups of Dc we encountered throughout the day. We also came upon a group of bottlenose dolphins just outside the harbor. Capt. Dave gave everyone a good look at the eastern end of SCI and thoroughly scoured a large area of the channel for whales, but no luck. Heavy fog made sightings difficult, so whalechecks were issued, but no one seemed to mind.
