Hi All,Great humpback sighting trips at 9, 12 and 3. Enthusiastic visitors in foggy but calm conditions. We found what we assumed was the same group of humpbacks during all three trips. They treated us all to lots of surface time and some close approaches. It grew from 4 to 9 by the end of the day. We watched 2 single whales join up with the group of 4 during the 9am trip.
They came up and went down together during virtually all of time with them which probably consisted of 3 hours. Dave thought they were feeding as a group and they truly did seem to be surfacing and diving together and in some kind of set order.  We saw evidence of krill meals and smelled whale breath periodically.
We also saw several pods of 300 common dolphins, evidence of a few other humpbacks in the distance during the 9 and 12 and a few Dall's Porpoises during the morning and noon trip.
Our most unusual onboard guest that joined us mid trip was an exhausted Black throated Gray Warbler that landed on board a few times during the 9am trip. I choose to believe he found land!
Capt Dave, Dennis and Matt were our wonderful crew.Eileen Avery was PID on the 12 and 3.
So grateful to be a CINC naturalist!!
