>  On April 21st , with a reception at 5-7 p.m., theSanta Barbara Maritime Museum will open the exhibit " The Spills Broad Reach." It will document and display how the Santa Barbara Oil Spill of 1969 spawned the environmental movement as we know it today, including Earth day.    Paul
>  TheSpill’s Broad Reach. Featuring selections from Paul Lynch’s documentary short Birth of a Movement, and artifacts relating to the 1969 oil spill and resulting activism, the exhibit will capture Santa Barbara’s unique role in shaping modern environmental movements. Two UCSB interns will assist with The Spill’s Broad Reach exhibit development and exhibit opening.
