Hi folks,
A few common dolphin,
One Gray (PM) heading west (north)
Clear skies, smooth waters in the AM, increasing to very bumpy in the PM.
Traveled some 60 miles in the AM for no whale sitings. Some few very small scouting groups of Commons.
In the PM run, the wind picked up and the seas followed. We did sit one Gray and stayed with it for a bit. But it was on its mission to get on north so no real story there. One fluke was given. We heard tw Humpbacks were sighted by a helicopter sight seeing trip and we headed out to see ourselves but the seas were really becoming more and more challenging so it was decided to head for home as many folks were not enjoying the trip any longer. Both curtains were dropped and it was a good thing as the spray was as anticipated by the good Captain Anthony and Crew of Captain Steve and Dee Dee. They did their usual very fine job of seeking out and finding our sometimes elusive cetaceans.
Still, it was not a bad day on the channel.
The ever sharp Linda Hitt was my side kick on this one. Always a pleasure working with her.
