Hello All, 
 Just heard this a.m. on public radio while on the way to work that a very important research study on our Channel Islands Foxes / Deer Mice / Hantavirus will be published in this May's issue of the American Naturalist. The extensive review said the research article will explain how the recovering CI Fox populations keep hantavirus at bay indirectly- as these predators  thin out the Deer Mice populations. The study started out focusing on the interaction of Deer Mice with the island vegetation, but got hijacked by the surprising fox predation findings. Maybe someone out there can share the article on line with us when it comes out?   Paul
