[CINC] SEPTEMBER OUTREACH

Dear CINC Volunteers:

First, I would like to thank you for your support at the Ventura County 
Fair this year and for your patience with all of the related emails 
regarding logistics! Our joint exhibit with the National Park and State 
Parks is a huge effort that would not be possible without your help and 
the time and dedication of staff at Santa Monica Mountains National 
Recreation Area, State Parks (Malibu), and the Channel Islands National 
Park.

The September CINC outreach calendar will be posted on VolunteerSpot 
tomorrow and we currently have two events planned:

    * *Tuesday, 9/13, 2 pm - 7 pm: Commnunity Awareness Event regarding
      Oil Spill Response in the Santa Barbara at Channel Channel Islands
      National Park Visitor Center *
    * *Saturday, 9/17, 9 am - Noon: Coastal Clean-Up Day (CINC Beach
      Captains at Emma Wood State Beach, Ventura and Santa Claus Lane,
      Carpinteria*

For Coastal Clean-Up Day, directions will be posted on VolunteerSpot for 
CINC beach captain sites, however, no shifts will be assigned. Please 
show up to support our sponsored beaches or other beaches near you. Your 
time will count for hours -- please wear your uniforms.

See you at our CINC meeting Wednesday, August 17th at 5:00 pm at the 
Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History!
