He calls often and texts even more :0) 

He has immersed himself in the culture and is enjoying the fruits of his labor!  He said the coast of Spain (Valencia) is amazing!! He has enjoyed a very intense bullfight—came within 20 feet of the Pope and has made many friends from all over the world. 

Here is the website his teacher has posted pictures and some info about each destination. He went with his school, Villanova Prep in Ojai.

As most of you know, it’s hard for youth to find a job in the workplace. Jackson started out because of his connections (namely mom!) but he had to prove himself worthy! He interned for 2 years working for poptarts and Gatorade while learning the ropes. Then he got hired on last year at the age of 15 ½--now almost 17 years old—he has proved himself a hardworking young man!

And yes—he saved 2 summers worth of paychecks!!

This email is not about religion, it is about a success story of one in our midst that I think deserves a pat on the back.

 

For those of you who know long-time volunteer and crew for IPCo Lisa Anderson and her son Jackson. He deserves an atta boy for achieving his goal of earning $3,000 to go with his church youth group to Spain for world youth day. He see the goal two years ago and with the help of working as crew part time for IPCo, he got two weeks in Spain. The news showed the Pope speaking to hundreds of thousands of youths in Spain. What a great accomplishment for this fifteen year old. Kudos to Jackson for his achievement.
