It was a mother and calf Blue pair, 400 Common Dolphins on the way out and 30 on
the way back. Also an interesting fight between a sea lion and a large
contingent of Western Gulls over a fish the sea lion had caught and was trying
to eat. Then there was the very very large Mola Mola that came up right next to
the boat. The problem was that the wind and waves were awful going west but
Capt. Dave persisted and north of Santa Rosa we encountered the cow/calf pair.
CINMS Tina Armbruster and Marilyn Dannehower did an outstanding job while Matt
and Brooke handled all the passengers including the ones that had difficulty
with the wind and waves.
Quite a day!
