last night i heard a wonderful program about whales  on tom  ashbrook   ON 
POINT npr   88.3.....his guest was philip  hoare  , the author of "the whale 
: in search of the giants of the  sea"  the program was filled with 
fascinating  brain,breeding  etc.  and listeners told great stories ...some about 
santa cruz.  you  can acess this program on your computer.  too good not to 
pass  on....natalie swan
