Naturalists Catherine French and Barbara Hilburn report that E. Santa Cruz very busy today.  

Three guided hikes necessary to accomodate the whole group:  Barbara--35 people        (from Ipco's Adventure)
									 			      Mike Westbrook--15       (same)                                                                                                                                         
			                                                                              Joel Barrett--15              (from Ipco's Vanguard)

Saw a fox on the island.  Reported sightings of three others.

People on Cavern Pt. and Potato H. saw gray whales from land.

From boat, we had two good views of grays with spouts of others in the distance, and we saw 15 Rissos.

We had 12 junior rangers who completed their packets and were sworn in.

A smooth ride on the Adventure with Capt. Lee, Steve S., Laurie, and Mike W.

Very contented people from various parts of the US and from India.
