This article has this quote. Wonder if the rolling gray sighted in the channel
was doing this in reaction to the Risso's?
"On another occasion, we saw a gray whale juvenile that was harassed by killer
whales roll repeatedly (sideways) as it moved rapidly towards shore, which
prevented the killer whales from maintaining a grip on its fins and flukes and
allowed it to escape," they wrote."

Gray Whales/Orcas FYI, Interesting article from the Alaska Dispatch re Orcas
caching recently killed Gray Whale Calves in shallow water near the Aleutians,
to come back an retrieve and presumably eat at a later date. JK
