60 Rissos

It was a beautiful glassy day out in the Channel. The 60 Rissos were milling around just off of the west end of SCI, where they have apparently been all week. From there we could see spouts in the gap between SCI and SRI. Our first grey, spotted right near the Rissos, must have been confused by the island, because he was headed back out of the gap to continue on the inside and was very shy, so we went further into the gap, down by Christie Ranch, where we followed a single for a while and then a pair who were close behind, before breaking off and heading for Painted Cave. We saw at least 2 more spouts further out in the gap that we didn't investigate.
Valerie Olson and I were the naturalists with Ilene on PID. Unfortunately there were only 12 passengers to enjoy this beautiful day.
