[CINC] Explanation of late notice?

Hi All,
 I am sharing this response to me from Michael Sheehy of Channel Keepers. Those of you who were disappointed with the conflict of the launching of their MPA  Watch program with our CINC Social, as I was, take heart at what you read. We will not miss out!  See you at the picnic on World Oceans Day.   Paul

The short notice for the event is due to Union Ale offerring to donate the space for an event on June 8th, and since it is World Oceans Day we jumped at the chance to use it as a way to introduce our new volunteer program. Please know, though, that this will not be the only opportunity to learn about Channelkeeper's MPA Watch. While they're not scheduled yet, I will be giving a number of presentations on the program including more specific volunteer training workshops for anyone interested in participating. Alternatively, I would be more than happy to meet or talk to you individually about the program. Given the amount of outreach and education that will be needed to implement this program, I don't envision the program officially off the ground until early July.
