Hello Naturalists,
This was the only Condor trip that went out on Sunday. Winds and swells picked up to gusts of 30 knots almost immediately after we left the harbor. Capt. Mat was as surprised as we all were! Passengers did comment that an awful lot of sailboats were headed in to the harbor as we were proceeding out.
We went north along the Coast to just prior to Goleta... but finding spouts was a bit impossible and the swell was causing some queasiness and seasickness among our 25 or so passengers.
Passengers were good sports and got vouchers.
No marine mammal sightings other than a handful of Ca Sea Lions.
I was joined by Barbara LaCorte who was our PID person and gave an excellent intro talk. Capt. Mat, Capt.Dave and Matt were the crew.
Thanks, and have a great week!!
