[CINC] AI Trip went to ESCI

The AI trip did go to ESCI today.  A bucking Vanguard got us there in under 3 hours.  2 1/2 hours on the island and a 2 hour surf home.  Wind was really howling on the island.  We scrubbed the Cavern Point hike for a walk into Scorpion Canyon.  I accompanied the MERITO class of 25 forth/fifth graders.  We saw 2 foxes on the island and 3 or 4 common dolphins briefly sighted just before landing on the island.  We were skiffed in to the beach due to low tide.  Not your average trip to Scorpion.  
One family of 3 had gone to Ventura Harbor, found out they were on the AI trip from Oxnard, went to ESCI anyway and then wanted to go back on the big boat to Ventura.  I reminded them that their car would be in Oxnard so they returned on the Vanguard.  One lady and several of the kids got sick.  All of the IPCO boats were out there today keeping up with the changes due to weather.  It was still a day in paradise!
