[CINC] 11/03 & 11/05/11 Outreach Report

Greetings,

Pam Yerger and I had a double dose of fun last week with outreach!   

11/03/11 5:30-8:00pm La Patera School Science Night:
We were in the same room with UCSB MSI and stayed very busy.  Our booth activities included the Matching Game, Photo ID Activity, posters, information table, and lots of enthusiasm.

11/05/11 8:00-4:00 Breakthroughs In Science presented by the Gold Coast Science Network:
Co-sponsored by Oxnard College and CA Science Teacher's Assoc.

This conference held at Oxnard College had a full day of presentations, exhibitors, and activities.  Pam and I had the pleasure of volunteering with Ranger Carol Peterson (Ed. Coord. for CINP), and our booth was set up with helpful info and posters.  It was nice to have a visit from fellow CINCer and teacher Maria Ornelas.  Carol and Cathy Reznicek (Ventura Office of Education) gave a presentation on Channel Islands Live - No Scuba Gear Required!
