A. New Gear Identification Guide for Entangled Marine Mammals (No Council Decision Requested)
• Lauren Saez will describe a new gear guide for fixed gear commercial fisheries off the coast of California, Oregon, and Washington. The guide will help with on-water identification of fishing gear that may be seen entangled with marine mammals.

B. Black Abalone Critical Habitat Designation (No Council Decision Requested)
• Susan Wang and/or Melissa Neuman will provide an update on critical habitat designation for endangered black abalone.

• Updates on development of and plans for the Channel Islands Boating Center, which recently broke ground at the Channel Islands Harbor. Presented by Lyn Krieger (Director, Ventura County Harbor Department) and Julie Bursek (CINMS Team Lead for Education and Outreach).

Coming from the south: Take US-101 North to Ventura. Exit on VICTORIA AVE., turn LEFT. Turn RIGHT on OLIVAS PARK DRIVE. Continue past HARBOR BLVD where Olivas Park Drive becomes SPINNAKER. The Park’s office is located at the end of Spinnaker, in Ventura Harbor.
Coming from the north: Take US-101 south to Ventura. Exit on SEAWARD. Turn LEFT onto HARBOR BLVD. Continue on HARBOR for about 1 mile, then turn RIGHT on SPINNAKER Drive. The Park’s office is located at the very end of Spinnaker, in Ventura Harbor.
