[CINC] Giant Sea Bass Return to CIs?

 The following link deals with research about our Channel Islands's own grouper type "monsters" making a possible return. Andrew Petrich ( a cousin) reported in 1900-1902 of catching monster sizes of individual fish upwards to 600 lbs from a row boat that would be towed for miles. This linked article refers to an "official" wight of 430 lbs caught by spear fishermen. This fishing was outlawed in 1970 when seven "monsters" were speared at Santa Cruz Island and sold illegally in San Pedro. The article updates scientific studies and the return of these giants to Anacapa Island in 2006.  Paul
