[CINC] awesome day, Monday Nov. 20 on the Islander

three humpbackstwo or three minkiesa couple hundred common dolphins,pelicans, cormorants, common murres, loons, sea lions - all in a feeding frenzytwo fox at the ranch house Capt. Dave, Poncho, Jean and Laurie took The Islander and about forty of us to Scorpian where Don Gillies lead the hike to Caveran Overlook and Bill Weinerth tagged along and then hung arround the VC.Two island fox, very friendly fox, entertained all at the ranch house.On the way over we saw two humpbacks but not vary close.  These whales were close to the gill nets in water about 115 feet deep.The big event took place on our return trip close to where we had seen the whales in the morning.There were birds circling, diving, splashing - pelicans, gulls , cormorants, murres, loons, pelicans, pelicans, sea lions, minke whale(s), common dolphins and a large humpback.They were right next to the Islander, under the boat, above the boat (birds).  The humpback did some lunge feeding.  Jean remarked that we were kissed by that whale several times.  Those taking pictures had to clear whale breath from their camera lenses.Bill and Don
