[CINC] UCSB Bookstore to Ban Plastic Bags

Ocean People,
   The UCSB Bookstore kicked off the start of Spring Quarter with "A Day Without a Bag" yesterday, as reported by the Daily Nexus. It was the beginning of a phasing out of plastic bag use in favor of compostable bag use. UCSB will become the first UC campus to do so. Signs on campus identified whole  countries that have recently passed bans on plastic bag use due to their economic necessity in maintaining a healthy marine environment ( Ireland; Rwanda; and the Philippines.
