AM: 4 Bottlenose right in the Ventura harbor
Also in the harbor right in front of the IPCO dock was a small raft of sea
lions with all their flippers up, seen all day.  Also seen all day & apparently
have been around for a few weeks is a group of male sea lions taking over one of
the CINP docks, much like Pier 39 in San Francisco.
2 Humpbacks very interested in feeding & not interested in the boat.  They
did show nice flukes.
      Common Dolphin- several small groups

PM: Common Dophin- small group
       Gray Whale- one very shy
Gray - one "leaping" after we were already 30 minutes overdue, very close
to shore.  Couldn't stay with it.
1st sighting of the Sooty Shearwaters indicating the season changing

It was the most calm day on the water in a long time & was very much appreciated
by all.  But the critters were scarce.  The Grays were seen in very shallow
waters while returning late to the harbor after Capt Lee had covered many miles
& had responded to other boats sightings without finding the subjects.  He
really worked hard.

Thanks to fellow CINC member Laura Shelton for her great interaction with the
large group of passengers on both trips.
